Taking photographs is a way of speaking. I find myself, daily, astounded and humbled by Beauty. Urban, natural, dirty, pristine, human, animal, quiet, obscure, obvious, profound. I’ve tripped over it all my life. My camera is, thankfully, a vehicle that lets me whisper, “stop, look, see”.

I’m a teacher by education, a graphic designer by profession, a reader by obsession, a writer as means of therapy and a photographer because I can't help it. I live in Vancouver Canada where I'm surrounded by a company of fearless artists who inspire me daily. I walk over a bridge nearly every day. I love my city. I am trying to learn Stillness. I believe the truth of who we are is found in Quiet.

I would love to take your picture.

If I have a mandate at all it comes from one of my favourite American writers, Annie Dillard, who conveyed a truth in a way that I realized one day I could not ignore. She said:

“You were made and set here to give voice to this, your own astonishment”.
